Sentosa was once known as Pulau Blakang Mati but it has gone through several name changes . Until 1972 contest organised by the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board , the island was renamed Sentosa which means peace and tranquillity in Malay and is a popular island resort in Singapore now:D
How To Get There ?
-take MRT northeast line to Harbourfront which is the purple line , take Sentosa express
and alight at Imbiah Station
-take taxi and drop off at at taxi drop off point just before the Cable Car bus stop
-take your own car and park it at cable car station or car park or beach car park
-take cable car at Mount Faber or Habourfront Centre
By Sentosa Express: tickets are selling at $3 per person
By Car: entry charge is $2 per vehicle and island admission applies .$2 per person
By Taxi: Other than the taxi fare , island admission applies . $2 per person
By Bus : services to harbourfront 65, 80, 93, 188, 855, 10, 30, 97, 100, 131, 143, 145, 166
At Sentosa , there are 8 attraction . They are Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom , Images Of Singapore , cable car , Tiger Sky Tower , The Merlion ,Sentosa 4d Magix .Sentosa Cineblast and
Sentosa Luge and Skyride . You can have annual class , friend or famil gathering there as there are resorts all around Sentosa . Can also have outdoor games like beach volleyball . beach scoccer and even sun-tanning . For the Tiger Sky Tower . you are able to take full view of our greenary Singapore . The SIA Hop-on is a convenient tourist bus service to 23 of the most popular attractions located in the city . One of them is Sentosa :D SIA Hop-On buses operate daily from 9 am to 7.30 pm at 30-minute intervals . fares are S$12 for adults and S$6 for children. Tickets can be purchased on board the bus .
